| | Model of the car: | Acura CL | | | General comments: | That's right, ANOTHER ONE! My transmission went out on me this week with only 18,000 miles. The first couple of days it slipped in 3 and 4th gear. Then, it locked up on me while driving 60mph on the freeway. The car went into a skid but luckily I was pointed straight at the time and no one was following to close behind me. The dealership was good about getting me a new transmission right away and paying for a rental car. This is the scary part though. The finance manager at the dealership admitted to me that Acura has had at least 16,000 of these cases with CL and TL since 2001. Why hasn't there been a recall? Does someone really have to die before the will do the right thing. I could have. Also, for anyone interested in buying and Acura, take note. Honda of America has begun denying all of the web based sites that provide recall information about various automobiles.
